This Meditation Prompt focuses on the past versions of ourself.
Each of us has overcome adversity, which can leave us drained in the immediate aftermath. The easy thing to do is separate from that version of ourself so we may start fresh.

We gotta do what we gotta do. But once we have some space from the situation it’s important to give gratitude to the parts of ourselves that forged ahead.

This prompt opens the door for that process to begin.

when we are steeped in everyday realities, it is easy to lose sight of our magic.
being in the moment allows us to practice non attachment as we look at both past and present.
by doing so, we discover and celebrate the ways that we have been remarkable. 
we can exist both in the now and know where we stand within our life’s greater context.
today we will seek a birds eye view, locating the times when we have shown strength and grown from adversity.

this is especially helpful when we are in a transitory moment and we need help channeling strength. we are entirely deserving of the greatness we seek. allowing it to come is the key. rather than forcing the river, step into the energetic state that matches the path of least resistance. trust that things will unfold as they should and trust you will be able to manage what comes.  sometimes all it takes is remembering the occasions we have shown up for ourselves and others.

just as you would show a friend support, give yourself appreciation for everything you do. 

recall the times that you have made a decision and stuck to it. if you’re struggling to make a choice now, remember that you have done it before. the world is an abundant place. opportunities will present themselves when you are ready. 

give yourself a moment now, 

can you recall a time when you have surprised yourself. or a time when you were excited to move forward and doing so led to expansion. maybe an instance when you came out on top despite all the circumstances -- hold these earlier versions of yourself in your minds eye. see them with love and the respect that you deserve. sit within that self directed love, bask in it. this energy bathes you, warm like the sun soaking into your skin. 

this fiery version of the self is always present within, ready to be tapped.

the body exists in cycles, it’s natural to need time to recharge and reboot.
but that is a temporary process.
the life force within you is ever present. 

give yourself credit for the times that you have shown resilience, that you have created a new way where others may not have seen one. the times that you have shed skin and found new light.

if you’re being asked to step up now, whether that is for yourself, for your creativity or for some form of the larger community, know that you are capable.
if you feel it aligns with the wavelength of your spirit, the energy is there to carry you through.

your past selves are supporting you, the universe is guiding you and the eternal self is present through it all, unmoved by the changing tides.
