Hello and hello
The past couple days have been quite the rollercoaster: I lost lots of sleep, managed to get lots of work done, some from a tiny hotel using an ironing board for a table. All of that went surprisingly well and I felt invigorated by the productivity.
UNTIL:
Last night when I discovered 8 of the 11 meditations I had recorded to accompany the re-release of the guide were missing from my computer. I tried all sorts of recovery techniques but things were erased and replaced. The hard drive seems to have forgotten that the last 72 hours happened.
Above all, it is the time lost that I feel the most. I’m here Now, but it feels like I’m existing in a double space, where the work still needs to be done that I already did.
I’m so excited to share the recorded tracks when they’re completely done, but today is not that day. I’m going to do everything in my power (without challenging my sanity) to get them out by early next week.
I considered not sharing any of these technical difficulties, but I felt that wouldn’t be honest and this newsletter is not about being fake. Although rewarding, juggling all the balls can be really tricky and I like to think I make it all happen. But sometimes the universe pulls the rug away, just to check to see if your Why is in place.
Why are you doing all of this?
If the answer isn’t strong, it might be time to change course.
In the depth of last night I remembered my Why: to make meditation accessible and deliver mindfulness in my own way. And through that process find a way to support myself, letting the path unfold in its own time.
When things don’t work out, sometimes all you can do is order insomnia cookies to your house, remember everything is temporary and that nothing matters as much as you think it does.
All that matters today is the return of A Guide to Self Guided Meditation.
The physical booklet is back in stock! It is my baby and I love it.
You can order it here:
You can even get it gift wrapped by me if you’re sending it directly to a friend. As someone who loves wrapping a present, this aspect is extremely exciting: I’m all stocked with tissue paper and twine.
Thank you for being here, being along for the ride and being patient with me.
Also: I found out (a little too late) that astrology predicted this time would be one of mishaps and miscommunications. So if you’re out there, check your work and your words twice !
xx
