Welcome to March!
This is my favorite month for two reasons:
Spring begins (21st)
My birthday occurs (23rd)
To be honest, I am often more excited about the Spring Equinox than my own birthday. It’s not because I’m anti-birthday, I just haven’t figured out how I like to celebrate my birthday and as a result I don’t feel a sense of natural camaraderie with the day. Every birthday feels unfamiliar, like it needs to be earned. Maybe one year this will change ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Spring on the other hand, is the rebirth of nature herself. We all celebrate when flowers enter the scene, we all welcome the sun that graces us a little bit longer each day. A personal vibrancy rises too, projects tend to come together or opportunities appear where we least expect. Every year I participate in January and February patiently (because the only way out is through) knowing all along that the year really starts in March.
With all that being said, I love taking this month as a time to check in and see where the trajectory of the year is really going. At this point (March 4th) it might be too soon to say, but I’d like to set up these questions as we approach Spring.
What seeds have you planted in the first two months of the year? (perhaps it’s been unconscious, maybe you’ve been prioritizing rest or taking steps to deepen internal arenas)
Are you holding any expectations that are so rigid they risk obstructing the flow of divine unknown? If so, what adjustments need to be made?
What are you willing to leave behind in the winter months?
Where can you renew your patience?
Commend yourself for at least one thing that has happened thus far.
If you’re experiencing higher levels or stress or sensitivity right now, be forgiving of yourself but make sure you’re not self-sabotaging by engaging with upsetting content for longer than necessary. There is only so much one person can process in a day.
All we have is the moment at hand, hold it with intention.
Sending you all my best wishes for the weekend.
xx
