Hello!
We’re coming up on a very special occasion and today’s dispatch is in preparation for it. You may have already heard that this Sunday, the 8th is the Lions Gate Portal. This occurs with the return of Sirius, our brightest star, to the night sky. In Ancient Egypt, they believed that the rising of Sirius brought the yearly floods to the Nile Delta, a time of great abundance.
Sunday is also a new moon, which sets us up for a double dose of charged energy. We’re working in Leo season, which brings the fire of a thousand suns to the table.
While all of these things are working in our favor, Uranus has also been playing the field, which can shake things up and make everything a little messy. Its purpose is not a Joker style chaos, but a shifting and rearranging to allow for new perspectives and situations.
Over the past few weeks I’ve felt both discombobulated and intensely in sync with encouraging signs. It seems like this energy is in the air, so I wanted to offer this intention setting practice to clear and reset our space before we set off our rocket boosters on Sunday.
See if there’s anything in the physical realm that you’ve left unaddressed, perhaps it’s as simple as the pile of clothing on the chair in your room. In order to allow energy to flow in, we have to make sure there is space for it to enter and flourish.
Even if your home is sparkling, wash dishes with awareness, sweep the floors with presence. All while making the mental space for fresh opportunities. We can’t rearrange the planets, but we can do our best to ground ourselves on this one with tactile ritual.
As you take the time to clean and clear, be present in the act. Recognize that you are clearing the physical realm to allow for movement and growth in the energetic ones.
This doesn’t have to be an all day cleaning fever, it’s all about the intention behind the action. What are you letting go, what are you clearing, which areas in life are you ready to make space?
It may sound rudimentary, but these are concrete ways to prepare for abundance.
Last year I was feeling very stuck and decided to jump on the Lion’s Gate opportunity. I really wanted to put together a whole ritual, but didn’t have the time or energy to do so.
On the day, I took a few minutes and walked to a wide open space. I wrote a letter and released the belief that I needed to take big dramatic actions. It was the intention that counted.
I wish I knew where that letter was because it all fell into place in the next few months. I experienced a quantum shift, not without its shake ups, but it has been a true expansion. I haven’t looked back since.
Whatever you choose to do on Lion’s Gate, don’t feel the need to overthink it. As the Lion teaches us, lead with your heart and it will take you to places of wild abundance.
xx,
James
