this week I’m introducing a different format for our prompt.
writing meditations are potent, we see our thoughts reflected back to us in the nonjudgmental space of the page.
we’ve all kept a journal, some of us more regularly than others. even if you have a consistent practice, I hope these questions give you a chance to ponder something new.
throughout this process, watch the language you use to speak to yourself.
ride the waves but don’t tire yourself out from constant paddling.
you can type this into a google doc and delete it, write it on a piece of paper and toss it after, take what you need and leave the rest.
give a brief overview of what’s happened this week for you, feel free to simply state the facts or go in deep tracing your emotional pathways.
what points in the week did you feel fully engaged with yourself?
are you taking on the appropriate amount of work that your energy levels can support? if not, can you find one thing to let go of?
what's something that you accomplished this week that you’ve been putting off?
what’s a small achievable goal you can set for next week?
find something of any size that you enjoyed or felt proud of this week. celebrate that.
let me know what you think of this format–unless feedback tells me otherwise, I’ll continue with a variation of audio prompts and written prompts depending on the week!
if you’re new to paid dispatches, you can go back and in the feed and listen to past prompts here: https://nowisgood.substack.com/
yours always,
James
