Hello hello!
How are you? It’s me, James, your friendly Now is Good neighbor. Our town just got a little more interesting and I’m excited to fill you in.
If you’re reading this, it’s because you are a paid subscriber. That’s very cool of you to be here, as I’ve been reimagining the whole
*~paid subscriber dispatch~* for a while now.
Today we have two orders of business:
First:
As you know, I decided back in January that I wanted to remove the paywall around my meditations, because all I want is to create widely accessible pathways to mindfulness.
Time has puttered on and I’ve missed the place where there’s an ease of experimentation and closer voices. So I’ve decided to launch a new version of paywall dispatches: everything and nothing.
This idea came about as I’ve gone back to daily journaling, this time putting less pressure on myself to record a realistic outline of the day, instead focusing on the blips of divine that come up on my radar. The ritual has been freeing. I know having a commitment to share it with you will keep me accountable and honestly make it more fun. Maybe it will inspire you to keep a record as well.
Each Sunday, you’ll receive a casual report charting the week’s tiny epiphanies, personal updates, fleeting feelings. If there’s an article, podcast episode or book that moved me, you’ll be sure to hear about it. The regular Now is Good dispatches will always try to tie things in a bow, but everything and nothing is not aiming for polished.
The only real goal is to find joy in the process.
